 Crufts selection successes
We're delighted with the news that yet again, two club members have been selected to go to Crufts as part of the NI Inter-Regional Obedience team - a team of only 6 handlers and their dogs. Alison and Zara will be going to Crufts for the second year running, this time as the Class B team. Accompanying them for the first time, will be Mary and Ellie for the Novice partnership.
Many congratulations and we wish them the very best of luck in March.

Coleraine Obedience Show Club successes Yesterday was a beautiful day for the Coleraine Obedience show and competitors enjoyed the availability of a long beach walk between classes and the great catering provided by the host club.
All the club members who made the trip up to Portrush were successful in their respective classes, but it was Alison and Katie who achieved the only first place, in Class B. Well done to this partnership.

Belfast Dog Show Society Open Obedience and Agility Show Competitors enjoyed a dry, if chilly day at Balmoral for the first day of this 2 day show. On Saturday, in the Obedience classes, there were two winners: Brenda and Megan won Pre-Beginners and Miriam and Britney won Beginners. We only had one win in agility and that was Audrey and Molly who won the 4-7 Medium Jumping class.
Sunday was another day and we were fortunate that the promised rain did not arrive until lunch time. Our only winners today were again Brenda and Megan winning Pre-Beginners.
Congratulations to all our winners.

Down District DTC Obedience and Agility Show Despite the dire weather forecast for Saturday, someone was watching out for us at our own show in Dundrum. We escaped with only a few showers and even enjoyed some sunshine. Club members did exceptionally well in the Obedience classes with Jillian winning both Class B and Class C with Cappagh and Bella respectively, a wonderful achievement. Lynda and Mica had a great round, winning their final Class A and worthy of a mention are Brenda and Megan who were the highest placed in Pre-Beginners. Congratulations also to Miriam and Brittany, a member prior to her move to England, who won Beginners.
As for the Agility, we were fortunate in having Lee Gibson and Maynard Rea as our judges.Challenging courses were set by both, especially the grade 6-7 Agility which everybody enjoyed tackling but few, if any, were entirely successful. Our only winners of the day were Audrey and Molly who won the Medium Grade 4-7 Jumping making Molly up to a Grade 7 dog.
Well done to everyone

Lisburn &District DTC Agility Show Down Royal The Lisburn Saturday show was held at the Down Royal Racecourse for the first time and despite a strong wind, we were lucky to escape with only occasional showers. It was particularly welcome to be able to give the dogs a good run on the racecourse.
Mary and Ellie were the successful pair today, winning their grade in the Small grade 6-7 Agility class making Ellie up to a grade 7 dog. They were also the overall winners in this class so a big congratulations to this partnership.

 Fingal Agility Show
Fingal Agility Show is always one of the best run shows of the season and this year was no exception. We were envious of the wonderful new equipment, the PA system which kept everything running smoothly and of course, Jorgan Sundwell the Swedish judge. He had set european style courses which were challenging but great to run. The club members who made the trip down to Fingal picked up a handful of places but only Mary and Ellie managed a win. They won the Small grade 6-7 agility.
Well done
